Today, French dreamfunk sextet L’Impératrice are sharing “Voodoo?” HERE (lyrics HERE), an infectiously groove-heavy track with vocals that bounce and weave around slick instrumentation, punctuated by a tight percussive backbone. “Voodoo?” is accompanied by a live session HERE. Following two years of life on the road, “Voodoo?” follows “Exit” and “Fou” HERE (+ VIDEO HERE), the group’s first tracks since 2018’s Matahari. The group is also announcing a 10-date digital world tour (HERE) with dates in Los Angeles (HERE) and New York City (HERE). Each show will be curated for the specific city with different opening acts. Produced by Renaud Letang (Feist, Philippe Katerine) and mixed by the incomparable Neal Pogue (Outkast, Tyler the Creator, Janelle Monae), « Fou » was mastered by Mike Bozzi (Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino) with a video directed by Edie Blanchard.
