Dear Friends,  I hope this finds you staying sane & healthy in the midst of this worldwide pandemic. The lockdown may stop us from going out, but it can't stop us from helping one another and continuing to speak out about queer rights.

BloodSisters 25 year anniversary tour was set to kick off  last month at the London BFI Flare 2020 Festival. Flare programmer Jay Bernard organized a post-screening panel called BODILY AUTONOMY to discuss the significance of Bloodsisters 25 years on–

We're making the entire program available to you online with free access to BLOODSISTERS, the two opening films RITUAL WAVES (Dir. Lina Bembe) and TRIBUTE (Dir. Max Disgarce & Lina Bembe) and statements from the panelists Lina Bembe, Max Disgrace and Venus.

PANELISTS:

LINA BEMBE is a latinx performer, filmmaker and writer based in Berlin. She has been featured in a diverse range of pornographic narratives, from mainstream to different flavors of ‘feminist’, all the way to DIY queer post-porn. Lina’s first short film, ’Ritual Waves’ premiered in October 2019. Besides porn, Lina works in front and behind the scenes at Sex School Hub (a platform of explicit sex ed films) and often gets invited to write, speak or curate screenings about feminism, culture, sex education and explicit sexuality. @linabembe


MAX DISGRACE is an award-winning film director, a programmer for the London Porn Film Festival and a proud, trans pervert. Max was invited to this year's Berlinale Talents and their film Tribute is in the official selection of BFI Flare 2020. Their previous film Crystal Clear featured at BFI Flare 2019, as well as at Tate Modern when they were invited to give an artist talk. Crystal Clear was the winner of the short film award at Porny Days - Film Kunst Festival Zürich 2017.Their work has also been featured in Edging in LUX, London, at the Schwules Museum, Berlin and has been invited to many queer film festivals internationally, including Oslo Fusion Film Festival, Cinema Queer and CineKink this year alone. VENUS is a performer, fetish wrestler and Domme. A practitioner of martial arts for nearly twenty years, she facilitates workshops that explore the intersections of self-defence, kink and intimacy. She is founder of Sex And Rage, an organisation led by sex workers, educators and activists that resists stigma and shame and makes social change through alternative sex education. @blackvenusinfurs  www.sexandrage.com
