Kehlani. This song marks the  second time the two artists and friends have collaborated - Deaux is credited as a co-writer on Kehlani's hit  song "Honey". Empathy is the first of two new EPs slated to be released this year. Deaux has made a name for herself in her hometown of Chicago and beyond with a string of viral hits including, "Wikipedia" and "Energy" and 2018's critically hailed Krash EP.  Jean Deaux recently wrapped up a sold out 22-date national tour, supporting singer Lolo Zouai and was named as an NPR "Artist to Watch" for 2019. Pitchfork describes her as "...versatile, switching  from flow to flow on a whim. Empathy picks up where Krash left off -  R&B-driven songs that features sexy and sultry sounds by the 24-year old up & comer, as she explores her relationship between love & control throughout the project.
