SAN FRANCISCO, CA (February 12, 2019) – Noise Pop Festival, San Francisco’s annual premiere indie music and arts festival, unveiled today their alternative programming and ancillary events for the 27th annual event including the festival pre-party, happy hours, pop-ups and more. In addition to live music performances from over 130 artists at venues across the SF Bay Area, these special events will take place during the week-long, city-wide festival February 25–March 3, 2019. General Admission, Super Fan, and Super Fam badges, as well as individual tickets for all shows are on sale now at www.noisepopfest.com.

Noise Pop is excited to kick things off this year with their Official Festival Pre-Party at Cal Academy NightLife on Thursday, February 14 from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. A great way to celebrate Valentine’s Day, the event will feature a silent disco with electronic music producers/DJs Lil’ Waifu and Arumi hosting the ultimate “Love Songs vs. Breakup Songs” throwdown in the aquarium at California Academy of Sciences. Guests can learn about love songs from someone who knows them inside and out, musician Thao Nguyen (of Thao & The Get Down Stay Down), who will discuss the process and psychology behind the writing and listening to heart-wrenching tracks. LA’s Nosaj Thing will play a DJ set in the piazza, and Chris Van Raalte (aka Vicar) will perform using The BodySynth, a wearable device that transforms movements and gestures into sound.

Each day will feature a different presenter - DoTheBay & San Franpsycho, BFF.fm, Sea Witch Productions, Text Me Records, and Benders - and will include a variety of music performers like Coke, Drew Banga + Amen’Auset, Ramonda Hammer, and more.
