Toro y Moi announced a fall U.S. tour today; the Outer Peace Tour will kick off November 1 in Santa Barbara, California, and wrap up on November 17 in Chaz Bear's hometown of Columbia, South Carolina. The Outer Peace Tour will be the band's first tour of the U.S. since 2015. It will also be their first time playing songs off of last year's release Boo Boo, an album hailed as "gorgeous" (Vulture), "immersive" (Noisey), and "the best Toro y Moi album yet" (Stereogum).

Since releasing Boo Boo a year ago, Toro y Moi has been working with Los Angeles producer Nosaj Thing on a collaborative project called Laff Trax. The duo will make their live debut at Monteral's Osheaga Festival in August, followed by shows at New York City's MoMa PS1 in Queens, Elsewhere in Brooklyn, 88rising Festival in Los Angeles, and Treasure Island Music Festival in Oakland. Earlier this year, Bear's paintings were featured in Solidify the Gesture, a showcase at Los Angeles' New Image Art gallery. He produced and co-wrote Sundays, the debut album by Oakland shoegaze artist Tanukichan, and co-produced Living In Symbol, the sophomore album from Astronauts, etc., both of which will be released on his label Company Records this month. Just last week, he surprise released a five-track EP with the Philadelphia rapper Rome Fortune called Toro Y Rome Vol. 1.

Chaz Bear is currently in the studio working on a new Toro y Moi record, which will arrive in early 2019.
