Following the release of his Projector EP earlier in May, Daniel Avery enlisted revered London producerFour Tet, aka Kieran Hebden, for a remix of “Quick Eternity,” which is taken from Avery’s critically acclaimed second album, Song For AlphaListen to the remix here.

A limited number of remix 12-inches were available exclusively at London’s Field Day festival at the beginning of June, where both artists performed. Now, the highly anticipated remix is finally seeing a full release today. Hebden flips the warm, undulating synths and crystalline percussion of Avery’s original in his own inimitable style, building shimmering, skittering flourishes before a pneumatic final half.

Song For Alpha, which is out now via Phantasy/Mute in USA and Canada and via Phantasy worldwide, is Avery’s exploration of the space in which home listening and club music intersect. Listen and purchase here.

September will see the pairing of two of experimental electronic music’s modern frontrunners as Avery joins Jon Hopkins for select dates on the West Coast and Canada. During these tour dates, Avery will curate ambient-leaning sets that will provide an introduction to the night ahead. These performances will draw inspiration from the early hours of Avery’s sought-after all-night-long performances where he creates an ambiance of anticipation, evolving as the evening goes on.

In October and November, Avery will join Nine Inch Nails and The Jesus & Mary Chain for a handful of dates in North America including a performance at Radio City Music Hall in New York. Avery retains a notable connection to NIN given his ongoing collaborations with the band’s synth specialist Alessandro Cortini. Listen to the pair’s late-2017 collaboration, “Water.”
