SAN FRANCISCO, CA (May 24, 2018) – Noise Pop is proud to announce today the sixth annual 20th Street Block Party will return to San Francisco’s Mission District on Saturday, August 18, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. As in previous years, the beloved Bay Area block party-style event is free to attend and will again benefit its 19th Street neighbors — the Mission Language and Vocational School (MLVS), a nonprofit organization that has been a Mission staple for nearly 50 years.

The 20th Street corridor between Harrison and Bryant Streets will be transformed into a party to showcase and celebrate a diverse neighborhood that blends modern ideas with community traditions to create a new San Francisco experience. In true 20th Street Block Party fashion, the music will bring some of the best acts from the Bay Area and beyond to the heart of San Francisco’s historic Mission District. Last year’s Block Party experienced its most successful event to-date with more than 22,000 guests in attendance and featured Neon Indian, Kilo Kish, Hoops, Sugar Candy Mountain, and The Tambo Rays, among others. Other notable past performers have included Mac Demarco, Chicano Batman, Miami Horror, Thao & The Get Down Stay Down, Two Gallants, Nick Waterhouse, Andrew St. James, and more. Stay tuned as the 2018 full music lineup will be announced later this summer.

20th Street Block Party guests will also enjoy an array of culinary delights from a highly curated selection of the Mission’s best restaurants and eateries. Last year’s delicious highlights included offerings from Alicia's Tamales Los Mayas, Bonito Poke, Farmhouse Kitchen Thai, FK Frozen Custard Bars, Flour + Water, Humphry Slocombe, Rollin' Deep (Little Star Pizza), Universal Café, and others. In addition to forthcoming announcements for the food and music lineups, more details will also be released on this year’s family-friendly Art Row activities, as well as the nonprofit vendors and partners set to participate.

Admission to the 20th Street Block Party is FREE, but donations are suggested. The event is open to the public, and food and drink will be available for purchase. VIP tickets will also be available in conjunction with the music lineup reveal, with VIP tickets including several exclusive offerings and perks.
