"sonically bright but thematically still gloriously dark … lyrically, the band is at its best here, exploring man’s inhumanity to man while still making high-energy songs." - Associated Press

"the threesome have expanded their worldview in a major way...
Chvrches are about to take their well-honed pop to the heavens" - GQ

"’the band's most ambitious pop effort to date, all without losing that distinct edge.” - NPR

“vornate and ebullient with reaching synths, yet still on the darker side … It’s urgent, bold, almost overwhelming” - Noisey

“high-energy, pop-meets-punk” - Entertainment Weekly

"expansive, epic, and Mayberry’s powerful voice never wavers." - Consequence of Sound

CHVRCHES have released their highly-anticipated new album Love Is Dead on Glassnote Records. You can catch them performing new songs TODAY live streaming on their Youtube page from their album release show at the House of Vans London at 3:00pm EDT. The band kicked off their international tour this week to ecstatic fans with shows in NYC and Toronto and will be back next weekend to play Governors Ball in New York City. You’ll also be able to catch them at Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and a full headlining tour this Fall. See all announced tour dates below

CHVRCHES are Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty. Love Is Dead is the band’s third album, following their top 10 debut The Bones of What You Believe (2013) and its top 5 critically acclaimed follow up Every Open Eye (2015). With the soaring success of their first two albums propelling CHVRCHES into new worlds of fame and acclaim, Love Is Dead is both euphoric and bittersweet. Featuring singles “Miracle,” “Get Out,” “My Enemy (feat. The National’s Matt Berninger)” and “Never Say Die,” Love Is Dead is an album about growing up and “coming to terms with the fact that there are great things in the world and there are awful things in the world and that you can’t get one without the other,” according to Mayberry.

Love Is Dead sees CHVRCHES welcome outside influences for the first time in the band’s career, with 2017 and 2018 GRAMMY Producer of the Year Greg Kurstin (Adele, Sia) co-producing nine tracks and BRIT Award Producer of the Year 2018 Steve Mac producing one song.
