Los Angeles, September 22, 2017 - The Bronx, a Los Angeles-based genre-bending hardcore punk band, have released the new album V, available worldwide today through ATO Records. The album, which is produced by Rob Schnapf, it titled as "V" to reference that it's the group's fifth album. The new record includes the singles "Sore Throat" and "Two Birds". According to guitarist Joby J. Ford, "[The album] has the angst and social commentary that has characterized us from the beginning, only now the angst is aimed at more than just superficial things and the social commentary is directed at more than just people who like different music than us."

The Bronx is what punk needs: they harness the genre's classic fire but then bend it to their whim, forging rock n' roll swagger together with hardcore grit. The Bronx eschews Hollywood hipster snobbery, but they're too clever for the Sunset Strip. They tap into Los Angeles without overexposing it, utilizing and respecting the city for its art and history. Originally forming in 2002, the band has gone through a variety of iterations, including the esteemed Mariachi El Bronx, but no matter what, they stay true to their evolution of hardcore punk, which is up for prominent display in the new album V.

The band kicks off their tour in support of the album tonight in Los Angeles and will continue on through the U.S. and Australia.
