Waxahatchee’s Out in the Storm out Friday; preview now in full on NPR First Listen

This week, you can listen to Waxahatchee’s cathartic new album Out in the Stormbefore its July 14 release! Stephen Thompson of NPR writes, “Out in the Storm gives voice to serious transformations in [Katie] Crutchfield's life—and takes the time to explore each honestly and memorably, with hooks to die for.” Get hooked below:

On Friday, Waxahatchee will celebrate with a hometown release show at Philadelphia’s Union Transfer, followed by Saturday night at Warsaw in Brooklyn and tours of North America and Europe after that. All shows will be with the full Waxahatchee band: joining Katie will be Allison Crutchfield (guitar), Katherine Simonetti (bass), Ashley Arnwine (drums), and Ali Donohue (guitar). A full list of dates is below; get your tickets sooner rather than later!

Out in the Storm signals the singer kicking on and setting herself up for a career which looks to be an extremely long and fruitful one.” —DIY Magazine
“This is yet another reinvention for Crutchfield, but this is the first time she’s so palpably given off the sense that she’s at peace with her own thoughts: stronger and more candid for having figured out how to best take care of herself.” —The Line of Best Fit
Reserve your Out in the Storm deluxe 2-LP + CD + postcards set in the Merge store, orpre-order the album digitally.
