“Mondo Cozmo is one of the most promising artists in the Los Angeles music scene at the moment” – NPR

“(‘Automatic’ named Best New Track) U.S. Maverick Mondo Cozmo fuses electro, psyche and a 3am near-religious experience”- NME

”Mondo Cozmo Makes His Mark…One of the “Top Moments from Bonnaroo” 2017 - Entertainment Weekly

“(Mondo Cozmo) One of the 10 Best Performances at Governors Ball” – Consequence of Sound

“(Highlight of Governors Ball)…brought plenty of energy!” – Billboard

“If you're not able to catch U2 at Bonnaroo this year, you might want to consider catching Mondo Cozmo. The artist's latest single "Automatic" sounds like what you'd get if you mixed Jagwar Ma's groovy beats with Bono's anthemic, hopeful melodies.” - Baeble

NEW YORK, NY (June 23, 2017) — The moment has finally come, and rock music might never be the same…Plastic Soul is coming August 4th.

Philly-born alternative renegade and punk-rock troubadour Mondo Cozmo will release his mega-anticipated full-length debut album, Plastic Soul [Republic Records], on Friday August 4, 2017.

The pre-order goes live today and unlocks instant downloads of the #1 AAA
Shine, current single and festival anthem Automatic,” “Higher” (music video featuring actress Paz de La Huerta), and “Hold On To Me” (music video featuring actress Anna Farris),  AND for the first time, the album version of title track “Plastic Soul. See full tracklisting reveal here and below!

On the album title and song Mondo Cozmo noted:

David Bowie referred to his music as Plastic Soul. I always loved that. I recorded my song'Plastic Soul' the weekend he passed away. And would later go on to release it for free cause of a sample issue. Based on the response of the song it forced the label to get the sample cleared. It was a huge risk on my part that really paid off. When they asked what I was calling the record I said, "Plastic Soul" and everybody just nodded their head.

I hope this album speaks to anyone who is scared to start over. Or overwhelmed by what they could be. This album comes from a real place. I needed to find truth and I found it in the songs. It is an honor to present Plastic Soul.”

The song “Plastic Soul” has become a sought-after gem amongst Mondo enthusiasts after this fall he shared an uncleared version of the song on his
Instagram, telling his fans “Due to potential lawsuits we are not permitted to release this song It’s called ‘Plastic Soul,’ was written about David Bowie… If you email my lawyer he will send you a link to get it for free.” The response was exponential, including charting Top 10 on tastemaker radio station KCRW, and the rest is history. Take a listen to “Plastic Soul” Here!

The track album is a dystopic death dream of gospel-size choruses, haunting confessions, grunged-up spirit, wild guitars, keys, and synths. Mondo cut these tracks, while losing his mind in a “shitty Joshua Tree rental house last year” accompanied by only his rescue dog Cozmo(yes he named his band after his dog). His blood, sweat, and tears course through every note. It’s f***ing rock ‘n’ roll with middle fingers up and life on the line, and it sure sounds like it…

Consequentially, the week of Plastic Soul’s release Mondo Cozmo will be taking over Chicago with an official Lollapalooza after show at Schubas on August 2th (ticket
here) and then making his Lollapalooza debut on August 4th. These shows come after Mondo has already SOLD OUT every headlining show he has performed including multiple sweaty and packed shows in New York, Los Angeles and this week his debut performance in the UK. See full tour dates below and online here!

It’s no surprise that he’s become the darling of the summer festival circuit. Mondo Cozmo tore up The Governors BallBonnarooShaky KneesBoston Calling, and Hangout Music Festival, burned down the house opening for Bastille in arenas, performed on
Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and had Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons jump on stage with him. Simultaneously, he has drawn acclaim from the likes of The New York TimesConsequence of SoundCraveBillboardNPR, Entertainment Weekly, The Boston GlobeNME, QRO, AXS, and crowds across the country.

Catch Mondo Cozmo on tour now before he’s headlining arenas solo and get ready forPlastic Soul.

Mondo Cozmo
A disciple of Eddie Vedder, Bruce Springsteen, and The Verve, thus the Philadelphia-born, Los Angeles-based Mohawk-ed and tattooed troubadour Mondo Cozmo was born. Think Dylan fronting Oasis with Beck making the beats.
Mondo Cozmo hasn’t wasted any time positioning himself as the top contender for the BEST NEW ROCK ACT OF 2017. His #1 AAA single “Shine” has been resonating across the globe as a message of hope in today’s troubled times and recently made his TV debut Jimmy Kimmel Live! His newest single “Automatic” has been a fan favorite during festival season and soon to stadium anthem that features a drum sample of his label head playing drums). In addition to “Shine” & “Automatic” he has released iconic music videos for his songs “Hold On To Me” featuring Anna Faris, “Higher” featuring Paz de La Huerta (Enter The Void, A Walk to Remember), and “Sixes and Sevens,” featuring… well Mondo Cozmo and his manager getting drunk in Mexico. Be on the lookout for Mondo Cozmo’s debut album Plastic Soul coming in 2017.
