The Sea The Sea will take to the road in June, with a live set previewing new material from their forthcoming album, slated for an early 2018 release. This tour will feature the addition of drummer, Steve Struss, and backing vocalist, Cara May Gorman, to the ensemble, a configuration reflected in a brand new LIVE single/video of Bob Dylan cover, Keep It With Mine.

The band has been deeply engaged in the creation of a new full-length album that will embody their evolving sound from an acoustic/roots duo to a more lush and deeper full-band arrangement. The songwriting and vocal harmonies remain the core of what Chuck & Mira are creating, with more exploration in the sonic palette and dimension that help shape the songs—both on the new album and as part of their live shows. Their sound promises to be an innovative departure from their earlier work while staying true to the heart of what brought them together as a band.

The Sea The Sea (Chuck E. Costa and Mira Stanley) is an Upstate New York based indie folk-pop duo-band featuring what Huffington Post calls, “Two of the loveliest male-female voices you might ever hear this or any other year.” Their 2014 debut release, Love We Are We Love, received praise from NPR, American Songwriter, and No Depression, among others, gathering over 10 million streams on Spotify. The animated video for their song "Waiting" sparked viral interest including Buzzfeed, Pitchfork, and inclusion at the international TED 2015 conference. Mountain Stage host Larry Groce calls them "ready to take their place among the best young male/female duos now performing." Their 2016 release, the six-song EP In the Altogether, recently earned features by Apple Music including “Best of the Week” and “A-List Singer/Songwriter”. The band is currently in the studio working on their sophomore full-length album, and touring with additional members Cara May Gorman (vocals) and Stephen Struss (drums/percussion).
