GANG OF YOUTHS PREMIERE NEW ANIMATED VIDEO FOR "WHAT CAN I DO IF THE FIRE GOES OUT?"

ANNOUNCE US TOUR DATES

Australian band Gang of Youths premiered their impressive new animated video for "What Can I Do If The Fire Goes Out?" today via Vinyl Me, Please. They called Gang of Youths "one of Australia's best kept secrets" and went on to say "Made by Thomas Rawle, a self-taught animator, the song's rushing riff is backed by images of fleeing animated fauna, warplanes, diving whales, and pirate ships."

The band have also announced their return to US later this spring. Their tour will kick off June 2nd at World Cafe Live in Philadelphia and conclude at The Echo in LA on June 15th. A full rundown of dates can be found below. AXS caught a recent show in NYC and noted, "They work together phenomenally as a unit. They're loud, they're tight, and they're all natural performers. As the frontman and the face of the band however, David Le'aupepe may be one of the best rising performers in the business." Gang Of Youths will be previewing new material from their upcoming sophomore album. The album will be the follow-up to their highly praised debut albumThe Positions

While based in Australia, Gang of Youths are no stranger to the US, having both lived in Nashville, and recorded their debut album in NYC with Kevin McMahon (Swans, Rhett Miller, Titus Andronicus), which was mixed by Peter Katis (The National, Local Natives, Frightened Rabbit).

Their debut record landed at #5 on the Australian album charts (ARIA charts) and notched five ARIA Award nominations, including "Best Rock Album." The Positionsreceived acclaim internationally from The GuardianStereogumRolling StoneAustraliaNME, and more as the band supported the likes of Vampire Weekend, Sky Ferreira, and Manchester Orchestra on the road. They have since followed this record up with a new EP titled 'Let Me Be Clear' in July 2016.

To date the band have clocked up over 10,000,000 Spotify streams and have played festivals across the world including Splendour In The Grass, Southbound Festival, Laneway Festival, Primavera, The Great Escape, and SXSW.
