FIVE-SONG ACOUSTIC EP FEATURES STRIPPED-DOWN LIVE VERSIONS OF SONGS FROM BRITISH BAND’S DEBUT ALBUM EVERYBODY WANTS
March 3rd, 2017 — (Santa Monica, CA) — On the heels of their debut albumEverybody Wants, U.K. rockers The Struts release a five-song EP, entitledLive And Unplugged, today via all digital retailers HERE. The EP features stripped-down live acoustic versions of tracks from Everybody Wants, which was released last year by Interscope Records and has crossed 100K album equivalents.
Included on Live And Unplugged are performances of ”Could Have Been Me,”“Put Your Money On Me,” and “Where Did She Go” captured at radio during The Struts’ first week in the U.S. in 2015, as well as “Kiss This” and covers of Drake’s “Hotline Bling” and The Vaccines’ “I Always Knew,” that were recorded at Universal Music UK. Taken together, the EP reflects the band's rise as one of the hottest acts of 2016.
“We have been in the studio working hard on the next album and we’re pleased to say it’s going fantastic,” says Struts front man Luke Spiller. “But we wanted to put together something special to hold the fans over till we can share new music this summer.”
The Struts popularity is going global. The band, which formed in Derby, England in 2012, just played two sold-out shows in Osaka and Tokyo to adoring fans. They will be in tour in the U.S. in May. Please see below for all upcoming tour dates.
