AND INTERACTIVE WEBSITE FOR 'PORK SODA'

Today, Glass Animals reveal the colorful and quirky new video for "Pork Soda,"the third single off their critically-acclaimed second album, How To Be A Human Being. The video has premiered on the band's interactive site for the track; watch here: http://www.porksoda.co.uk/
Dazzling and immersive, while remaining outlandish and characteristically offbeat, the video and website offer fans another fascinating foray into the band's strange and highly interactive world. Set in a surrealist house located in suburbia, the video tells a tale of insanity and ultimately, love. The website allows viewers to further immerse themselves in the mindset of the characters, featuring a television with changeable channels that relays Glass Animals' hilarious take on American infomercials as they try to sell their own products.
Lead singer Dave Bayley explains, "As you may know, each song on this album is about a different character, and each character is visible on the album's artwork. The lives of those characters are explored in more depth in the videos and accompanying websites. In this video we meet the song's main character, Mr. Jennings, and get a glimpse into his world of television, slingshots, dancing dogs, SPAM, and American daytime infomercials. There are subtle references to the other album characters and their videos too....from themes in the narrative, to the colours, to the the odd physical props and products seen....the Palmbrella (for instant tropification), Super Chicken (YUM), and the delicious Sprayonnaise (for both rapid and ultra-hygenic mayonnaise application). Those products are explained in even more detail on the accompanying website where you can embrace your inner 'Mr. Jennings' and kick back in front of the tele and watch some proper daytime junk. The "Pork Soda" website follows the band's tradition of creating immersive character sites for each of the singles on How To Be A Human Being. Glass Animals have previously released a website for "Life Itself," tumblr page for "Youth," and a video game app for "Season 2 Episode 3." By fusing their lyrics with curated artwork and interactive components, the band uses technology, which can often be seen as impersonal, to instead make their characters more human.
Glass Animals' one-of-a-kind live shows have already gained the band a dedicated following around the world, and the band are taking it to the next level with their recently announced headlining tour and prominence in this years' festival lineups. Starting this April, the band will kick off the US leg of their tour in Atlanta, making a special return to Colorado's legendary Red Rocks Amphitheater, and are one of the top-billed artists at Coachella, Firefly, Panorama and Bonnaroo Music Festivals (see below for full list of dates).
