FINAL 2016 PERFORMANCE IN NASHVILLE + 2017 LIVE DATES

TOUR TO SUPPORT THE ORGANIZATION OPEN TABLE NASHVILLE

"'Dead Eyes' conjures a bar-room brawl from sparking guitar and choogling organ. Meanwhile, Victoria delights in lording her power with a spirited, almost comic performance, veering between seriousness and faux-incensed yelps. Whoever's telling her she looks dead behind the eyes underestimates the force of the fire raging there." - Pitchfork

"Adia Victoria's powerful 2016 B-side "Howlin' Shame" lurches through foggy, spellbinding guitar and violin like the withered woman described in its lyrics." - The New Yorker

"Adia Victoria's voice is powerful and direct, with no artifice... It's a brilliant debut, though I highly recommend seeing her perform live for the full experience." - NPR Music

In support of her critically acclaimed debut album Beyond The Bloodhounds (Canvasback), Adia Victoria has revealed the music video for her track "Horrible Weather." The video was directed by Alex Bittan, who also directed Adia's music video for "Dead Eyes," with illustrations by Ruff Mercy. "Horrible Weatherpremiered today via NYLON who describe the video as, "A hint of dreariness hangs in the air while she sings her bittersweet tune about the beauty of coming together."

Adia Victoria recently revealed series of animated spoken word shorts set to her poetry.  Entitled howdoyoudo the clips were animated by artist Andrew Ralph and the first, "Riding Lessons," premiered via NOWNESSRalph told them, "Since this poem is about Adia's insecurities when she was a young girl, I wanted to create an animation that felt childish, almost nostalgic to the viewer. The digital 2D animation is inspired by old episodes of Sesame Street and cartoons that I grew up watching in the '90s." NPR explains, "They're like peering into her unspoken mind and seeing a cartoon." The entire howdoyoudo series is now available to watch HERE

The Nashville based singer kept her year busy with numerous live performances across the United States, Europe and the UK in support of the album release. Adia Victoria will host a special end of the year event and performance in Nashville on November 18th at The East Roomwhich will also feature performances from RashadThaPoet, Mother Nature and more. Adia Victoria has also added several live dates in early 2017 including stops in AustinLos Angeles, San Francisco, Portland, Seattle and more. Adia will be selling new merchandise at her February 2017 shows to help raise money for Open Table Nashville - a non-profit, interfaith community that disrupts cycles of poverty, journeys with the marginalized and provides education about issues of homelessness.Through their Micro Home Villages project they are working to provide a dignified, loving and hospitable transitional housing community for Nashville's homeless in an effort to meet each individual's most basic needs so that he or she is empowered to focus on rehabilitation and addressing the reason(s) he or she became homeless. Adia adds, "Open Table's commitment to housing as a human right is second to none in Nashville.
