In advance of this Friday's arrival of his new self-released EP Lamentations, Moses Sumney is back today to share one more song from the release. "Lonely World" showcases knack for patient songwriting; slowly growing for over three minutes before fully revealing itself and reaching its climax. It also finds him exploring new sonic territory, incorporating performances from Thundercat on bass, Tosin Abasi on guitar, and Ian Chang (from Son Lux) on drums.

The song's release comes in the midst of Sumney's current tour with James Blake, which runs through mid October and is capped off with a pair of sold out headline church shows in LA and London.

Listen to "Lonely World" (and watch his debut music video for EP track "Worth It") above now and check out all Lamentations details along with upcoming Moses Sumney tour dates below.

About Moses Sumney:

Moses Sumney has emerged as an independent artist to watch, riding a wave of word-of-mouth praise, hushed recordings, and dynamic live performances. Since the self-release of his debut EP, "Mid-City Island," and 2015's Terrible Records 7", "Seeds/Pleas," Moses has performed around the world alongside forebears like Beck, Karen O, Sufjan Stevens, James Blake and more.

2016 has seen Moses widening the sonic spectrum of his intimate music, releasing songs that feature fleshed-out production and focused song-writing. In-between stops at festivals around the globe - Primavera Sound, Pitchfork Music Festival, Eaux Claires - he has been locked down putting the finishing touches on his debut full length.
