The Mystery Lights Featured On NME With New Video

NME INTERVIEWS THE MYSTERY LIGHTS

PREMIERES "LIVE FROM THE HOUSE OF SOUL" VIDEO

DEBUT LP OUT NOW ON WICK (DAPTONE RECORDS)

"A great glimpse into The Mystery Lights’ high-energy live set that’s torching stages across America" - NME
NME premieres a live video part of Daptone's "Live At The House Of Soul" series, featuring The Mystery Lights performing "What Happens When You Turned The Devil Down?" The song is the closing track from the band's self-titled debut LP released earlier this summer on Daptone's new rock imprint, Wick Records. Previous artists to perform in the label's Bushwick backyard for the series include Charles Bradley and Antibalas.

NPR's David Dye applauded the band on his 'World Cafe: Next' weekly segment, saying that they "combine the aesthetic of [New York]'s downtown dwellers (like The Velvet Underground) with a present-day urgency." Pitchfork noted that "there's a stoned, analog atmosphere hanging over everything, but there's a fire and toughness, too. [Mike] Brandon, like Charles Bradley and Sharon Jones before him, performs with a power and vigor that keeps him undeniable." The record also gathered praises from Rolling StoneNOISEYNerdistBrooklyn Vegan, and more.

The Mystery Lights are currently on a headlining tour across the States.
