Closing Week of 2016 OC Fair Features Performances by Lindsey Stirling, Chris Young, Four Nights of Demolition Derbies, Turkey Stampede Plus Free Activities and Family Fun August 10-14
The OC Fair will salute Fullerton, Lake Forest, San Clemente, Fountain Valley, Laguna Woods,
Seal Beach, Laguna Niguel, San Juan Capistrano and Tustin




Costa Mesa, Calif. (August 8, 2016) – The 2016 OC Fair is wrapping up with the season with a last week filled with exciting nightly performances, Fair food favorites and plenty of opportunities left for guests to “Get Your Fair Face On!”
The Fair is closed Monday and Tuesday.
The last week of the OC Fair will be wild with the return of theWild West Turkey Stampede in the Livestock Show Ring with free daily shows at 2 p.m., 4 p.m., 6 p.m. & 8 p.m.
Other special livestock exhibits include Oasis Camel DairyExhibit and daily demonstrations, Goldenwest Game Breeders Bird Barn, Urban Chickens Exhibit and Horsing Around.
Here is a glance at more events going on this week (August 10-14) at the 2016 OC Fair:
Wednesday, August 10 (Open Noon-Midnight)
  • Lindsey Stirling / Carah Faye in the Pacific Amphitheatre (7:30 p.m.)
  • Faux Fighters / Green Today – Tributes to Foo Fighters and Green Day in The Hangar (7:30 p.m.)
  • Orange Crush Demolition Derby in the Action Sports Arena (8 p.m.)
  • We Care Wednesday School Supply Drive: One free admission and one carnival ride per person with donation of new school supply items valued at $5 or more. Receipt required. (Noon-3 p.m.)
  • $30 Unlimited Rides & 2 Free Games (Sold until 5 p.m. and valid until 8 p.m.)
  • Community Flag Salute: Representatives from Fullerton, Lake Forest and San Clemente will lead Fairgoers in singing the National Anthem at 12:30 p.m. at The Hangar and residents can enjoy a $2 discount on admission with a Fair coupon available at their local city halls or libraries.
Thursday, August 11 (Open Noon-Midnight)
  • Chris Young / Ruthie Collins in the Pacific Amphitheatre (7:30 p.m.)
  • Jumping Jack Flash – A Tribute to the Rolling Stones in The Hangar (8:30 p.m.)
  • Motor Home Madness Demolition Derby in the Action Sports Arena (8 p.m.)
  • Kids Day: Guests 12 and younger are free all day.
  • $30 Unlimited Rides & 2 Free Games (Sold until 5 p.m. and valid until 8 p.m.)
  • $2 Taste of Fair Food: Get a taste of Fair food for only $2 a sample from Noon-4 p.m.
  • Community Flag Salute: Representatives from Fountain Valley, Laguna Woods and Seal Beach will lead Fairgoers in singing the National Anthem at 12:30 p.m. at The Hangar and residents can enjoy a $2 discount on admission with a Fair coupon available at their local city halls or libraries.
  • Chef Challenge - InstaYum: Watch local culinary professionals show off their chops in a series of live cooking challenges to be the most Instagram- or photo-worthy dish 5 p.m. on OC Promenade Stage. Amateur foodies can enter to be the guest judge by posting their best sweets food photo and including #InstaYum #ocfair. Winner is selected Wednesday 4 p.m.
  • Farmer’s Market: A California-certified farmers’ market where genuine farmers sell fruits, nuts and vegetables directly to the public. The Farmer’s Market will be held in Lot E from 8 a.m.-Noon before the Fair opens. Free admission and parking for the Farmer’s Market does not include Fair admission or parking.
Friday, August 12 (Open Noon-Midnight)
  • The B-52s / The Aquabats in the Pacific Amphitheatre (7:30 p.m.)
  • Dead Man’s Party – Only A Lad in The Hangar (8:30 p.m.)
  • Damsels of Destruction Demolition Derby in the Action Sports Arena (8 p.m.)
  • Seniors Day: Guests 60 and older receive $2 off Senior Admission and receive free Ferris wheel and merry-go-round rides all day.
  • $2 Rides & $2 Games: Every ride and every game in both the adult carnival and children’s carnival is only $2 each until 4 p.m.

  • Emergency Pursuit Derby / Orange County Police Canine Association Demonstration Show in the Action Sports Arena (1 p.m.)
  • Orange Crush Demolition Derby in the Action Sports Arena (8 p.m.)
  • Sweet As Honey Contest: Fairgoers create their best savory or sweet dish using honey as the only sweetener. (Live judging at 1 p.m.)
  • Rise & Shine: $3 general admission (10-11 a.m.)
  • Free Parking & Shuttle Service from the Experian parking structure located off Anton Blvd. off the Bristol St. exit of the northbound 405 freeway. 10 a.m.-1 a.m.

Throughout the 2016 OC Fair (July 15 -August 14), Fairgoers can also enjoy:
  • “Show Us Your Fair Face!” A multi-media presentation shown nightly featuring a fun five minute video topped off with a pyrotechnics finale. Fairgoers can participate in this exciting interactive mosaic by submitting a photo of their “Fair Face” at ocfair.com/ocfairface.
  • Military Get in Free: Free admission every day for active U.S. military and veterans with appropriate I.D and may purchase up to 6 general admission tickets for half off.
  • Children 5 & under: Free admission every day for the littlest Fairgoers ages 5 and younger.
  • Read & Ride Program: Children (ages 5-11) who read at least two books and submit a completed OC Fair Read & Ride Book Report Form (available online at ocfair.com/readandride) will receive three free carnival rides.
  • Free Exhibits and Events: Free community entertainment all day, culinary displays in the OC Promenade, Peking Acrobats and Comedy Hypnotist Mark Yuzuik at Heritage Stage, Russell Brothers Family Fun Circus, Dragon Knights, All-Alaskan Racing Pigs, nightly Karaoke Rockstarz, educational exhibits and contests, Explorium: Destination Kids, garden exhibits in the Centennial Farm and more.
