New York, NY — July 1, 2016 — Norway’s Highasakite are excited to announce their addition to the 23
rd annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert on December 11 to honor this year’s Nobel Laureate (awarded December 10th) and help spread the message of hope, courage and global peace.

The event is annually attended by world leaders and dignitaries, in addition to a live audience of 8,000 fans at Oslo’s Telenor Arena; televised to more than 100 countries300 million households and also streamed live on YouTube. Highasakite join the ranks of countless globally renowned artists that have taken the stage at the concert including Paul McCartney, Elton John, Alicia Keys, Florence and the Machine, Rihanna and Aurora among many others.

Following acclaimed debut LP Silent Treatment, which recently marked a two-year milestone in the Norwegian Top 40 Chart, Highasakite offer up sophomore successor Camp Echo – another chart-smashing effort, winning them a second consecutive #1 chart debut in Norway and #24 entry in theAustralian Top 40. The album features singles
Someone Who’ll Get It’ and Golden Ticketamassing streams of more than 6 million in just over a month.

Taking its namesake from one of seven detention camps within Guantanamo Bay, Camp Echo arrives in a whirl of acclaim. Despite loose political commentary, the album is without agenda. The intention is not to persuade or invade but more so, an attempt to make sense of the inner turmoil born of external unrest.

...a dark and pummeling pop song that finds her yearning for companionship. – The Fader

When we first heard the enchanting voice of Highasakite singer Ingrid Helene Håvik at South by Southwest, we fell hard and fast for the Norwegian band. – Vogue

...simultaneously ethereal and booming...  Interview Magazine

...the album has perfect pop flavor, but it hits many more serious notes than you might expect. It's powerful and real, which is why we love it... – Glamour

Not to be hyperbolic, but you do feel that Highasakite are a milestone... – The Guardian

“Highasakite’s pulse-quickening second album abounds with instruments, big choruses and political
discourse... Singer Ingrid Helene Håvik's vocals corral this heady mix into a coherent force"
– MOJO

“A sonically uplifting affair, with Ingrid Helene Havik's vocals adding warmth and enough
hook-laden choruses to take them across the North Sea" – Q Magazine
