OFF! ANNOUNCE RELEASE OF FIRST PROPER FULL LENGTH IN MAY

SIXTEEN SONG SELF-TITLED ALBUM COMING FROM VICE RECORDS ACCOMPANIED BY SXSW APPEARANCE AND RECORD RELEASE SHOWS IN SELECT CITIES

In a creative pace to match the breathless vehemence of their music, punk/hardcore luminaries OFF! have announced the follow up to their much heralded debut First Four EPs will arrive in the form of a self-titled full length May 8th, 2012 from Vice Records. Barrelling through sixteen high intensity tracks in as many minutes, the album demonstrates the LA quartet had still further to ratchet up their visceral sonic maelstrom, delivering a "dark party" soundtrack of unleashed exasperation and bitterness executed with a rigorous precision that more than lives up to the cavalcade of accolades heaped upon them so far by the likes of Pitchfork, NPR, LA Times, among many others. Full tracklist and album art below.

In conjunction with the impending release the band have announced a string of live dates in support of the album including a trio of appearances at next month's SXSW Festival and select record release shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York, and San Diego. The Los Angeles show, which serves as the album's proper record release, is booked at the legendary Whiskey a Go Go, former host to many of the most important punk/hardcore bands of the early 80's including The Germs, The Ramones, The Misfits, and countless others.

SELECT PRESS QUOTES

"This music is built for a climate of frustration and powerlessness, and its bare-knuckled punch-in-the-face is a long-needed wake-up call to nostalgic escapism." -Best New Music review on PITCHFORK

"This band is shooting to kill, and, like any great punk group, is a model for sustained intensity and streamlined might." - NPR

North American Headlining Tour + SXSW

Debut Album CoCo Beware To Get a Wide Release via Fat Possum Records on March 27th

In anticipation of their upcoming headlining North American tour, Caveman are sharing an exclusive live performance of “Vampirer/Old Friend” that they shot in Los Angeles last year on their first visit to the West Coast. You can see the video, shot by John O’Hara in Silver Lake on
YouTube HERE and Vimeo HERE. Their debut CoCo Beware will get a wide release on March 27th via Fat Possum Records after the self-release on the band’s Magic Man! label in the fall.

Now the band sets out on a Spring tour through North America starting in Chapel Hill on March 6th and including stops in Georgia, Florida, Austin’s SXSW, Toronto, the Midwest, and Los Angeles, where they’ll return to the Echo -- home to their first-ever LA show, a sold-out one last December. A Place To Bury Strangers remix

A Place To Bury Strangers' "So Far Away" Remixed by School of Seven Bells
More Tour Dates & Details Announced
A Place To Bury Strangers have released a remix of their song "So Far Away" put together by School of Seven Bells. The track is available exclusively at SPIN.com today. The new version lifts Strangers' dark sound towards hazy bliss with gentle vocals from Alejandra Deheza and subtle electro beats.

Listen to "So Far Away - SVIIB Remix"

The band will be touring in support of their recent EP Onwards To The Wall, across North America. Several new headlining dates have been announced as well as a full European tour that runs through mid-May. To cap things off, APTBS will join Metallica at their Orion Music Festival in Atlantic City on June 24th. Joining lead singer & guitarist Oliver Ackermann and bassist Dion Lunadon for the dates will be Robi Gonzalez on drums. The band sent a message to fans, saying:

As some of you may know, Jay Space is no longer playing drums in A Place To Bury Strangers. We salute Jay as having been such an important part of the band and continues to be very much loved friend and brother. We wish him all the best for the future. For the upcoming US/European tour dates we are super excited to be bringing on Robi Gonzalez (Jubilee, Trouble Andrew) as our drummer. We are chomping at the bit to get back on the road and can't wait to see all of our awesome fans again!

The trio will join The Joy Formidable and Exitmusic for most of their North American shows. A full list of tour dates is below.

PRAISE FOR ONWARDS TO THE WALL

"APTBS deliver the noisiest, most jagged fuzz in the catchiest packages..." -ALTERNATIVE PRESS

"Onward to the Wall opens with "I Lost You"...a pummeling onslaught of banshee-wail guitar stacked on top of a chugging motorik bass riff, plus some gnarly, rancid feedback." -PITCHFORK

"APTBS re-arrange the basic elements of Noise-Pop by destroying whatever preconceived notion you had towards the genre. Instruments are merely tools used to test the limits and knowledge of what sonic exploration really means, and Onwards to the Wall resembles the Home Depot at times." -AQUARIUM DRUNKARD

"Onwards to the Wall is, by all accounts, punishing, brutal, bloody, visceral, damning and torturous while retaining a knack for melody and sugar-coated pop songsmithery." -POPMATTERS

GEOGRAPHER'S "MYTH" - NOW STREAMING EXCLUSIVELY

ON PASTEMAGAZINE.COM

MUSIC VIDEO FOR SINGLE "KITES" PREMIERES ON MTV THIS FRIDAY

ON THE MODERN ART TOUR AND PERFORMING AT SxSW 2012

geographer

"[One of the] undiscovered bands you need to hear now!" - Spin

"Pop music hasn't seen such a seamless marriage between techno beats and swooning cello parts since...well, this might just be a first."- San Francisco Chronicle

Starting today, Geographer's fans will be able to stream the San Francisco trio's colossal record MYTH exclusively on PasteMagazine.com HERE. MYTH, which will drop on Tuesday, February 28th via Modern Art Records in conjunction with Warner Music's Independent Label Group, is available for pre-order via iTunes HERE. The deluxe edition of MYTH, which includes demos and bonus tracks, is also available for pre-order on iTunes HERE.

Geographer's single "Kites," and the track's music video will premiere on MTV come this Friday, February 24th via the network's MTV2's 120 Minutes and MTV Buzzworthy Blog. A teaser for the "Kites" video was just released on the band's social networking sites and via You Tube, which you can watch HERE. The video was directed by David Dutton of Dutton Films and incorporates some incredible special effects.

After touring nationally with Ladytron and Stars, showcasing at major music festivals Noise Pop and the main stage at Treasure Island Music Festival 2011 Geographer teamed up with producer Eli Crews (tUnE-yArDs, Beulah, Why?, Deerhoof) and renowned mixer Chris Zane (Passion Pit, The Walkmen, Holy Ghost!, Tokyo Police Club) toscrupulouslycraft MYTH. On MYTH, Mike Deni's distinct melodic vocals flirt with his dazed synth melodies and alluring guitar riffs; while Nathan Blaz's haunting electric cello cords, and Brian Ostreicher's vibrant drums blend together to help create the mind-altering, ten track album that is pulsating with complex poly-rhythms and stunning harmonies.

The band will showcase at this year's SxSW after garnering amazing praise from Huffington Post as, "Buzz Bands of SxSW" and "Bands You SHOULD See at SxSW" for last year's performances.
